Areas of Practice

Group Therapy

For some, hearing other people’s experiences can be beneficial. It is helpful to know that we are not alone and to find a community that understands us. Our therapists are here to help you and a group of individuals navigate through life’s issues together.

Trauma

Trauma in life can be immobilizing and can leave us finding it difficult to navigate experiences that are new. If you have gone through trauma (abuse of any kind, inter-generational, motor vehicle accidents and even neglect), we want to help you better cope with these experiences. Our therapists have worked with clients with various traumas using therapeutic models to help clients understand and manage their trauma. We are here to work with you as well.

Generalized Anxiety

Tests, exams, and many everyday activities can cause our bodies to react in ways we may not be used to. Anxiety can cause symptoms such as an accelerated heartbeat, difficulty breathing, stomach cramps and pain as well as other symptoms. These symptoms can be connected to experiences we have had in the past or something we are experiencing currently. Our therapists want to help you unpack it all, and help you learn how to cope with your anxiety using various techniques to control your body’s reactions to inner thoughts and outward real-life experiences.

Learning to manage and live with mood & depressive disorders can be difficult. You can feel like you are dealing with it alone. Therapy can help give you the tools you need to better cope with your emotions, and you everyday experiences. Just know we are not here to judge you — only to help.

Mood & Depressive Disorders

Grief/

Bereavement

We all grieve. Losing the life of someone we loved, a job, a pet, a relationship and even losing our sense of control can present as grief in our lives. It can look different for everyone and can also change based on how you saw your family of origin operate in their grief. Our therapists want to give you the tools to help you in this process and walk alongside you.

Anger & Stress Management

We all can become stressed by difficult situations. We all get angry. But learning how to manage our emotions and properly express our anger is key to coping in life. If you experience a lot of stress and anger, the first step is acknowledging it. We are not here to judge, but to provide strategies and techniques to help manage even the toughest of situations.

Family & Marriage/Couples

Family and relationships are important. We all need them. However sometimes our families and couples can experience difficult struggles and issues that are hard to overcome on our own. Our experienced therapists are here to help you understand these issues and find ways of helping your family or relationship learn to change unhealthy patterns and heal from past traumas.

Child and Youth/Adolescent

Children and Youth can also struggle with their mental health and as parents, it may be difficult to know how to help your child when they are experiencing anxiety, depression or other mental health issues. Our therapists have experience working with youth and children, and can provide appropriate strategies to help them to overcome the difficult life transitions they may be dealing with.

Life Transitions

Every stage of life requires change — the transitions that we experience moving between the stages of life can often leave us feeling overwhelmed or frustrated. Whether you’re looking for a new job, moving out of your parents’ home, dealing with an empty nest or simply figuring out next steps for your future, our therapists want to help you understand your situation and together find the best course for you to take towards your goals.

We can’t wait to meet you.
